Description & Details

Convert paper to digital. Scan notes, documents, receipts, and images to PDF.

The free Adobe Scan app turns your device into a powerful portable scanner that recognizes text automatically (OCR). Turn anything — receipts, notes, documents, pictures, business cards, whiteboards — into an Adobe PDF with content you can reuse.
HOW IT WORKS:
• CAPTURE. Scan anything with precision. Advanced image technology automatically detects borders and sharpens scanned content.
• ENHANCE. Touch up scans or photos from your camera roll. Easily preview, reorder, crop, rotate, and adjust color.
• REUSE. Turn your scan into a high-quality Adobe PDF that unlocks content through automated text recognition.

It’s that easy.

WHAT CAN ADOBE SCAN DO FOR YOU?

• SCAN ANYTHING, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. Capture forms, receipts, notes, and business cards. You can even scan multi-page documents and save as PDF with a single tap.

• RECYCLE CONTENT. Free, built-in optical character recognition (OCR) lets you reuse scanned content by creating a high-quality PDF that you can work with in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

• GET MORE DONE ON THE GO. Save your scans to Adobe Document Cloud for instant access and sharing. Even lengthy legal documents become manageable, as you search text, highlight key sections, and add notes.

• GET CONNECTED. Adobe Scan connects you to the world’s best document services that let you do even more with your PDFs. Edit, convert to Microsoft Office, fill and sign, and send for tracked signatures.

  • Adobe Scan Makes It Easier Than Ever to Scan Documents and Share Them | Droid Life

Adobe released a new app today called Adobe Scan and I’m already pretty obsessed with it. It’s a document scanner, which doesn’t sound all that exciting, but trust me, document-pile folk, it is. With Adobe Scan, you get Optical Character Recognition (OCR) that isn’t exactly new tech. But Adobe says that most apps make you … Continued

Devoloper team please attention, I want to know that, why Adobe app is uploading all documents automatically in the Adobe server without taking any permission from the user?? It's making very serious privacy issues. My personal documents is leaking openly. Please stop doing this and make app secure for use. The application is very good to use but devoloper should fix this issue.

Are you f-ing kidding me, Adobe? After you force me to link a social account and give up my email address, you don't even allow me to opt out of your spam? Now your app won't even save files locally or to my Google Drive? And apparently I can't delete my new Adobe account from a mobile device? Most blatant invasion of privacy I've ever seen from a mobile app! I expected much more from a reputable source...

Expecting more from a company such as Adobe. What i disliked: - Ridiculous to ask for such personal details when setting up an account (why do you want my birth date for Christ sake????) - Poor settings (if any!) As far it concerns resolution, color, etc. - when I sent to my email it doesn't attach the file (can you believe that?) - impossible to save the file in my device. - unnecessary issues of privacy Final comment: app unistalled! Didn't like at all.

It does the job for me, which is scanning multiple pages and then uploading to Dropbox. But the document sensor is not intuitive. It often scans half the document even when I put it on a completely different background. Also scans come out upside down - why? I don't particularly want to use Adobe Cloud, but I already had an id so not a huge deal, just inconvenient to have a second step of sharing to Dropbox after saved.

I prefer my documents saved on my device too. I had a bad experience at work when I attached a scanned document to a mail but after sending the recipient could not find any attachments. Adobe, please restore the savings of documents locally or add it as an option. Thank you.

Write a nice app. It's a shame that the default filenames are so daft - "Scan dd mmm yyyy.pdf", so your scans are ordered by the day of the month on which they were taken. Needs a more sane default, or option to change. Obviously should be something involving "yyyy-mm-dd", do that you can have my 5 stars!

They must be kidding. Require full birth date, social profile etc just for signing up for some scanning services. Plus my scanned documents will be immediately available as soon as the US of A think they require it. No way Trump will be allowed to violate my privacy, he is already doing too much other damage. I immediately uninstalled that app.

Better than just taking a picture with my camera. Agree with previous reviews about artifacts showing up sometimes. And I don't like the cloud sync. I wish I could link it to Google drive, or even just email it directly. But does what I need. Thanks!

1. Saving docs in cloud is a bad idea; should be optional. 2. Can't scan more pages; no further editing in file. Once you have done, then done. 3. Learn from CamScanner.

I like how the photo capture has a animation wheel to see that it is focused (Wells Fargo mobile deposit could learn a thing). However, it is annoying I can't edit sheets after I finished scanning. I scanned one page twice and can't find an easy way to edit it. Suggestions? Also there should be a function to redo a scan in the middle of a multi-page document while capturing - I got my hand in a photo and now what, rescan it all? There must be a way. Thanks!

I prefer ScanWritr because it offers more functionality in a single app and scans documents with better quality. I think that with the latest version of Above Scan the quality of scans isn't as good as it used to be. If I scan documents in less than perfect conditions (e.g. partly in shadow), I get lots of artifacts. ScanWritr, for example, performs much better in such conditions. Adobe Scan is quite okay for quick scanning, so I am keeping the 4 stars and will keep it on my device, but please improve the document enhancement feature and remove annoying login and add support for more cloud storages. Thanks.
