The update was a MAJOR improvement when it comes to lag and sound quality. However, it's still not quite there yet. I can't really speak of the save feature as I was waiting for the emulation quality to be...well at least bearable, before I started playing such a great game. I expect another update by next month at least. I will not rate 5 stars until emulation is flawless. Don't let me down Sega.

Lost my cloud saves twice. Was level 10 on main character and beat the factory. Saved in two different saves and both are now all the way back where i was level 1. Believe the update may have wiped my save from last night. Worst 2 dollars ever.

I bumped this up from 3 to 4 stars because cloud saving was improved. If I dig the audio after the last update, it's a full 5. The launch was a bit rocky, but it seems like the devs are listening to feedback and making improvements. Thank you!

They say they fixed save bug so I updated and load game to find my save reverted to a save from 4 days ago... Nice fix, just give me my money back. Worthless... Better off just installing an emulator andbload all the ROMs you want than waste your time with this. Emulator supports controllers better as well.

Edit: it appears that the update resolved the Save issue! And the sounds have been fixed. I'm very happy now. Worth buying. Fix the Save feature. I'm a huge fan of this game, but it's worthless without a reliable save system. I'm sick of losing progress.

Update: I think the update may have fixed the save bug!!!! Yay! Saved successfully twice! C'mon devs. Fix the save bug. My fav game of all time and unplayable as I lose all my progress. Really disappointed. Won't be playing till its fixed. Or at least make the in game save feature usable. Can save but can't load. Add the title page and were away laughing. Play it how it's supposed to be played! :)

I love this game, but this version currently has some unresolved issues. I'll update my review if these are fixed. 1) The audio skips around frequently; it sounds like it falls behind then tries to catch up. 2) I paid for the ad-free version, but I still have to see an ad every time I open the app. It doesn't automatically sign me in to Google Play, so I have to manually sign in and use the restore purchases option.

Fore those concerned about saving in the free version, the game's built in save feature works fine so just save normally to avoid potential server issues. The "cloud only" limitation is specifically regarding the emulator's ability to save anywhere at anytime. As for the game, i have no significant complaints. It chugs a bit on my Amp Prime but it's playable, and this phone isn't exactly a powerful phone so I'm not surprised.

Do not play this. Complete rip off. Sega should be ashamed. In the last dungeon it froze when I tried to exit with the Neisword: AS IN THE GAME SAVED DURING THE MOMENT OF THE FREEZING POINT. SERIOUSLY. THE GAME SAVED AT A POINT WHERE ITS PERMANENTLY FROZEN. PATHETIC. The saving function sucks dick on this to begin with. You have to save in the game and also use all three cloud saves to hedge your bets. I've had the game save erase a level 30 game. I've had the cloud saves revert back hours randomly. I've literally watched hours of ads saving the games only to make it to the last dungeon and then the game freezes when I try to exit with the Neisword. When I log back in it brings me to the moment of the freeze even though I didn't save when the game freaking froze while using the Neisword. You can't even try to save when you are exiting a dungeon yet this POS managed to do just that. And if that wasn't good enough it had to punch me in the balls and take the third cloud save that was two hours PREVIOUS and it magically just decided to up it to the Neisword freeze save. Literally over 50 hours WASTED! FREAKING DISGUSTING SEGA!

It's great BUT my save data disappeared for some unknown reason which really bummed me out. Otherwise perfectly playable and fun but it's a downer that all my data is gone after hours of playing

Like many others, I've been burned by the save feature not working properly. I've utilized multiple save slots, but still couldn't load my game near the battle with Neifirst (I didn't even have Amy in my party, according to the save states). Not only does this game fail to load the proper data from the cloud feature, it also manages to completely bypass the internal storage feature one allegedly gets after wasting $1.99 on this unfinished, untested product. Speaking of paying $1.99 for this, I was incredibly frustrated with the Crazy Taxi advertisement repeatedly popping up, since the purchase was supposed to eliminate ads. Funny how the advertisements work without any issues, but recovering my progress is as difficult as wrestling a raw steak away from a lion. I've made it clear to the developers that I'm interested in a refund, as Sega continues to make it apparent why they're a company whose stock is plummeting.
