Description & Details

"Then we can always regroup on the moon, silly! "

A story-driven experience about two doctors traversing backwards through a dying man's memories to artificially fulfill his last wish.

Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all the way from the very beginning... but only in their patients' heads.

Due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath. Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t.

This particular story follows their attempt to fulfill the dream of an elderly man, Johnny. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a life time, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is.

And Johnny's last wish is, of course... to go to the moon.

"To the Moon", a story-driven RPG with pixel graphics, was originally developed six years ago for PC by Canadian producer Kan Gao and Freebird Games, his indie game studio. Rights to develop and publish the remastered mobile version of "To the Moon" were acquired by X.D. Network Inc.
The story of "To the Moon" unfolds before players, much like a movie. While the entire game has no battle system and can be completed in a few hours, the compelling story and moving original soundtrack resonated with players worldwide. On top of receiving overwhelmingly positive ratings, "To the Moon" received multiple awards from Gamespot, Metacritic, WIRED, and more, and was nominated for "I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye" in the 2016 Steam Awards.

• A unique & non-combat story-driven experience
• Innovative mix between adventure game elements and classic RPG aesthetics
• Acclaimed original soundtrack that closely ties to the story
• An espresso execution with zero filler and no time drains

Absolutely my favorite game when I discovered it on PC. Now that it is on mobile, I can carry it with me anywhere. Amazing heartfelt story that will truly bring tears to your eyes. Also the most amazing video game soundtrack I have ever heard with "Everything's Alright" simultaneously bringing a tear to my eye and making me feel better about life at the same time. Plus the way it features not one, but two autistic characters (and female ones at that!) in an incredibly realistic and relatable way was very moving, especially as someone on the spectrum. I actually have a screenshot (from the PC version) of a quote from one of the autistic characters as my Facebook banner. 5/5... Top scores all around!

The game is absolutely great and I recommend everybody to buy it. I have downloaded this game on my Moto X Play and at first it wasn't working at all. After I moved the app from my SD card to the internal storage it works just fine! So if anybody is having the same problem I recommend to try this first. Amazing job on porting this on mobile devices! Thank you

I don't normally write reviews, but this game is true art. I bought To The Moon when it first released and I'm happy to buy it again, if only to support the dev again. Do yourself a favor and pull up a box of tissues. You're going to have some feels.

If you're looking for a good story, this is the game you are looking for. It delivers a deep, thought provoking, tear jerking narrative most mobile games and games in general wish they could achieve. At $5.00 this game is an incredible deal, and one that any lover of story telling should experience.

One of the best mobile games ever. You probably think that almost $6 is to much for a mobile game. But that's because you're comparing it to short, repetitive ones. This one, this is true art.

Loved it and finished it on PC and can't wait to finish it again on mobile! Just wondering if there is a setting to speed up the dialogue though. Other than that, I absolutely adore it ^^

UPDATE: *Still* not working. Really frustrated waiting for a fix... Based on another review, I moved the game from external to internal storage, and now it starts up okay, but force closes after a few minutes of playtime. Once I got an in game warning saying my device was too low on memory and to close any background apps (right before the game force closed), but there weren't any background apps open, and I only saw the warning once (I've tried playing at least ten times since then, with a force close happening each time). I restarted my tablet, with no change. Ran Clean Master's booster with no change. Tablet does not get hot while playing the game, and routinely runs very graphically demanding games without issue. Not sure what's going on with this one, but hopefully this info helps with a fix. Still won't play at all if installed on SD card, returning me to the home screen less than a second after the game is launched.

If you can manage to see well enough through the tears streaming down your face, you will fall in love with this gem of a game.

Don't sleep on this game, it is amazing. Great port from the PC, although an option to increase the text speed would be nice.
