Dark Sun is a psychedelic RPG space shooter where you cruise through breathtaking stellar clusters, mow down rows of incredible starships, and meet awe inspiring life forms - at the point of a gun. Significant cut scenes and high-end animation created over four years hearkening to the days when arcade games were actually fun. Fast-paced action, addictive alien races, infinite universe, space tunes better than a skydiving high.

You play as a deep cover P'rekthr'i [Prek-t-h-ree] operative, a tiger alien, with a wiped memory, and a highly distinguished service record, suddenly thrown to the front lines of the Draconis Constellation. Your mission is to figure out who you are, who's who, and how best to proceed with the objectives of all the secret Orders, shadowy organizations within the Republic... err Empire pursuing their own goals.

This is an introduction to the Dark Sun Universe prior to the release of the first full 3D multi-player map and world, then MMORPG.

Winning the game unlocks a secret code for playable legendary characters, weapons, and spaceships in the planned Dark Sun MMORPG.

Xbox Live and Steam PC Windows 10 versions are coming.

NOTES

Controls:

There are hidden controls in the game:

Starting Screen: Upper Left - start a new game without opening cinematic (if you're having memory problems or to speed things up for replays)

Main Game: Lower Right Screen - touch to quit

Memory:

The opening cinematic takes the most memory, about 200 mb, but there is a way to bypass it from the main screen as noted above. The main game takes only about 135 mb, maybe a little higher to be on the safe side.

Game:

The game is long. There are a ton of starships to encounter.

The Story So Far:

The Republic was ancient and it was vast. The Altaren controlled it, but by the barest of margins, through skilled political cunning. They had few ships, but were highly advanced. They preferred to devote themselves to pure research, especially devastating new weapon technologies, to keep their neighbors properly awed and hence assure their place at the top of the hierarchy.

The Zylons were the most ancient race, fast breeders, and they had the greatest number of ships. They preferred cheap construction and favored victory through overwhelming numbers. A thousand of these would not even scratch the new Altaren vessels, if they chose to test their mettle, which was impossible.
