Description & Details

Clean up your phone, find files fast & share files offline

Files Go is a new storage manager that helps you free up space on your phone, find files faster, and share them easily offline with others.

FREE UP MORE SPACE
In just a few taps, you can free up space more quickly and easily than ever: Delete old photos and memes from chat apps, remove duplicate files, erase unused apps, clear your cache and more. If you're like our beta testers, you can save on average 1GB of space in the first month.

CHECK YOUR STORAGE
Use Files Go to see how much free space is left on your phone and SD card. Easily transfer files to an SD card to free up your phone’s storage, right from the app.

SMART RECOMMENDATIONS
Get helpful suggestions of files to erase before you run out space. Files Go recommendations get smarter the more you use the app.

FIND FILES FASTER
Save time looking for photos, videos, and documents on your phone. Files Go uses filters rather than folders so your stuff is organized more intuitively.

SHARE FILES OFFLINE
Share your pictures, videos, documents, or apps with others nearby who also have the app. With speeds up to 125 Mbps, it’s fast, free, and it works without the internet, so it doesn’t cost mobile data.

ENCRYPTED FILE SHARING
Files Go’s offline file sharing is secured with WPA2 encryption, providing more secure file transfer.

BACKUP FILES TO THE CLOUD
If you want to keep a file forever, select it from the Files menu and back it up to Google Drive or any other cloud storage app.

EFFICIENT, EFFECTIVE STORAGE MANAGEMENT
Files Go takes less than 6MB of storage on your phone. And there’s no malware or bloatware to affect your phone’s performance.

I had rated it 5 stars earlier. Now down to 3 because there is no way to open the phone memory and SD card separately. I don't know why they've given only the preorganized tabs for images, videos, etc ( the feature doesn't work well because I can't find a lot of my data in it). If the app lets me open the phone/SD card data as it is with the folders inside it, I'll change my ratings back to 5

Was searching for a nice app to help me delete multiple numbers of apps at once. Found this app which is made by Google itself. Downloaded it thinking that this app might be the most charming cleaner to start with. The setup was mind boggling. And finally, I found out the list of my apps and was marking them one by one. And suddenly, the app closed all by itself. I can't tell you how freaking irritating it felt. But, I am never installing this app ever again!

Google never fails to create an excellent free app, compared to many others one tried this one is the best designed. It does all the digging up old files/apps for you and makes it so you only have to go through the list once to either delete or share files to other devices or cloud. Bonus: very cute little animations to make you feel accomplished at cleaning your phone! Thank you for ad free ♡

Really nice so far, but rather basic. For instance it needs to show "all apps" including ones that are installed on the manufacturer "partition", such as facebook installed in the Samsung root. In order for me to clear caches of all apps, i need to go back to use the stock app settings section. Defeats the purpose of needing this app. However, i believe Google will eventually make this app the 'standard' so i will keep it installed, anticipating future updates.

It is a badly needed utility which makes the tedious job of deleting files easy and almost fun! All in all - a great app fully , deserving 4 out of 5 stars. The missing 5th star is due to a lack of a better preview of certain file types (for example - mp3, mp4 or pdf ). In order to make sure you really can/want to delete a file - one needs to have a deeper look at it. We hope that this could be implemented in the next app version.

I think the app is nice! However, one has to be careful with its auto suggestion feature! Chances are, if not careful enough, it'll end up deleting those files which you want to keep. I suggest Google use it's machine learning magic to suggest only those files which aren't of my interest. Because classifying merely on the basis of low format doesn't qualify a file to be unworthy of space in my device!

Following improvements are required: 1. Entire split of storage space by different media, app and system files 2. Preview feature before deleting media and document files 3. Recover option in case of accidental deletion 4. Option to set up automatic cleaning reminders or auto cleaning at scheduled times 5. Option to directly upload files to YouTube/GooglePhotos/GoogleDrive etc...

Great little app to easily remove junk and free up lots of space. I never had this much space free in my device in the last three years. Used several apps that claim to do this but would duck the blood out of battery in the process and in reality would not do much. This one is easy on battery and is effective on space freeing process

Transfers files via bluetooth...I don't think that's a good choice. Why not Wi-Fi direct? And media files not showing up from the folders which are either hidden or contain a .nomedia file and an option for sharing files directly to google drive is also missing. Its a good app but needs improvement.

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT CLEANING MY PHONE COULD BE SUCH A FUN PROCESS. everytime I delete something, a small animation of a creature plays. And it's also too smart, it knows meme files! And categorizes very good

Ok, so I looked at duplicate files first. I know I have lots of duplicate files cos of my method of sorting by event, day etc & then backing up from the main 'camera roll' to the cloud. This app showed me files it CLAIMED were duplicates but didn't SHOW me that they were duplicates. Also the original will always be the oldest so this app will always offer to delete an original. No thank you as there are too many risks in that strategy for me to blindly trust it.
