  • Our Favorite Android Games of 2016 | Droid Life

As a mobile gamer, I’d say 2016 was a solid year for Android games. We saw a huge ridiculously massive launch with Pokémon GO, enjoyed multiplayer fun with Exploding Kittens, and made our way through beautiful landscapes in Alto’s Adventure. Sure, Tiny Wings still isn’t out on Android, but screw it, we’re moving on. We … Continued

  • Mini Metro, Build Subway Systems in Real-World Locations | Droid Life

In all my years playing video games, I didn’t think a title about building a subway system could be any fun. Well, publisher Playdigious found a way, thanks to a new game on Google Play called Mini Metro. In Mini Metro, you are tasked with building subway systems in real locations around the world. Unlike a … Continued

Love this game! Well worth the $$. Simple concept, challenging and constantly novel gameplay, lots of opportunities to keep growing the concept, so I look forward to updates! A suggestion: make it easier to disconnect a line from a station. Im tired of having to grab the end point and undo the whole line just to disconnect from a station. Or is it just me? I've bought the desktop version and mobile is better in every aspect except that.

This game is very addicting and you will never know that a lot of time passed by once you get into the game. The graphics has a minimalist touch and the game's simplicity makes the player a city transport planner in no time. I just hope that the developers will include a better way to manage and delete the tracks because organizing them becomes more difficult once your metro is too big.

Simple yet challenging, and very addictive. Replayability is high. You'll never get bored of it. It's a bit more pricey than your normal game apps but definitely worth the money if you're looking for a really fun game to pass the time.

Really, really great little puzzle game. Excellent time killer, challenging gameplay and really nice visuals. Its hard to criticize this game but one thing I'd like would be for every map to have its own unique features, like the high speed trains or smaller passenger cars.

If you like micro management, this is the game for you. The graphics is simple yet each game is unique and the will to improve is really impressive. Just after the first play, you become addicted to it. The slow background music and sound keeps you on your toes.

The game is fantastic with almost everything working in favor of it. Only one place it falters at is the cloud backup. I have noticed that some times the game did not update high scores between my two devices, but today when I installed it to my tablet (after a factory reset) it simply did not fetch any high score. It could connect to GPG, all maps unlocked, achievements intact, but no high score or minutes played. Very disappointed. At least there should be buttons for manually backing up and restoring the cloud backup, and obviously those should work.

Great game - a really good thinker. My only criticism would be the controls - sometimes you can't easily grab the line you want to and time is running out!

Mini Metro is the perfect mix of thoughtful puzzling and relaxing gameplay. It's the kind of game you can really focus on if you want to, or just chill out and keep your fingers busy. It has continued to improve since my initial purchase. Worth more than it costs!

Mini Metro is a very visually pleasing game with a very good concept, but it doesn't follow through. The gameplay is a bit annoying and somewhat grueling. I don't think it is worth the five dollars.

Edit - fixed by the development team, now it's even more fun!! This is nice simple game, but it have a big flaw - doesn't support Samsung's SPen... It would be so much more pleasant to control it with the stylus... Till then 2 stars...

I really wanted to love this game. From reading reviews you would assume that it's a near perfect game. It suffers in a number of areas. There's no tutorial. You start out with your entire knowledge about the game coming from what you read on Google Play. The game makes very little effort to educate you. After over an hour of play I still have no idea how half of it works. I have stations that fill up and give me a game over even though there are multiple lines connected and trains stop at the site. I don't know the difference between a bridge and a tunnel. I don't know why a carriage is better than another train. I can't figure out how to build the city as there's little to tell you what makes a strategy work. There's just no feedback from the game other than sudden and unexplained losses. I want to like this game, especially when I paid a premium price for it, but I have no idea what the actual goal is I'm shooting for.
